I blame this all on the Bayreuth Festspiele and Wagner's wolf-cub grandsons, Wieland und Wolfgang, and each time a Eurotrash monstrosity like the above is mounted anywhere in the world the wolfish Sorcerer of Bayreuth must surely spin in his grave like a driven-to-distraction dervish — or be reduced to tears of anguish and sorrow — knowing that his own flesh and blood bears the ultimate responsibility for the outrage.
