It seems the corrupting forces of "eclecticism" and popular culture prole-pandering are now being encouraged and championed in the world of dance (about which I know next to nothing) as they have been in the world of classical music by yet another "enlightened" critic with a bully pulpit: newly installed chief dance critic of The New York Times , John Rockwell. Dance critic and weblogger Rachel Howard of Footnotes comments, and links to further commentary by other dance aficionados.
