The Debate -- An Interim Report

The debate is now 45 mins in, and — watching or just listening to it — no matter what Mr. Bush does for the rest of the debate there's no way he can recoup. He's come off sounding like a defensive and annoyed (and annoying) little kid, and Mr. Kerry like a levelheaded, seriously bright, adult / parent / teacher. Mr. Bush's only hope now is if Mr. Kerry does something truly stupid, and shoots himself not in the foot, but between the eyes.
